How to Become a Volunteer at the National Historic Cheesemaking Center
Involve yourself in “Volunteerism”? Better yet, include “Tourism”……which means becoming one of our dedicated volunteers to staff the National Historic Cheesemaking Center and Green County Welcome Center.
I’m Interested In Becoming A Volunteer!
Volunteer Info
Don’t feel you know enough about the history of cheese? No problem, we schedule volunteers to complement their knowledge and skills. Maybe your knowledge is Green County and Monroe…you can assist visitors with tourism information of the area.
Don’t have the time? The time commitment could be as little as 2 hours a month. A Volunteer orientation is held at the beginning of each season and provides you with your own volunteer manual, in addition to volunteer guidelines available to you during the time you are volunteering.
The Center is staffed Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, May 1st through October 31st. Every effort is made to have two volunteers on duty at a time, in addition to at least one of the Directors.
If you would like to join more than 50 volunteers, please contact us at (608) 325-4636, and a member of the staff will return your call to answer any question you may have.
